The Fontana Housing Authority acquired approximately 3.81 acres of land on the South East corner of Sierra Avenue and Orange Way to be the site of the three-story ninety (90) unit Senior Affordable Housing Facility consisting of seventy-two (72) one-bedroom/one bathroom units and 18 two-bedroom/one bathroom units. It will also include over 4,500 square feet of community/recreation area. This area will encompass a community room, fitness equipment, pool tables, a computer/media room, a library and an outdoor swimming pool and two spa facilities.

The facility has been designed to create an extremely attractive “entrance statement” to the downtown community. In addition, the facility is architecturally compatible with the Phase I (“Gardens at Sierra”) facility – located on the North West corner of Sierra and Orange Way.

This downtown Senior Housing Facility will be affordable to very-low income senior citizens (with incomes at or below 50% of median income).

Construction began March, 2009, with completion anticipated December, 2009.

First move-ins are scheduled for December 16, 2009.

Grand opening is scheduled for January 14, 2010.

Leasing information can be obtained by calling National Community Renaissance at (909) 355-5643. Applications are now being accepted and can be attained at our neighboring senior living community, Fountains at Sierra, located at 16946 Ceres Avenue. Applications are handed out every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between the hours of 10a.m. and 4p.m.

Information will be updated as the project progresses.
