The North Economic Zone encourages new commercial development in north Fontana. The program has been put in place to defray a portion or all of the development impact fees for development projects including public improvements, public services and community amenities.  The North Economic Zone is located within the North Fontana Redevelopment Project Area (see map).

The South Economic Zone encourages new commercial development in South Fontana.  The South Economic Zone is located south of the I10 Freeway, north of Jurupa, east of Mulberry Ave and west of Sierra Ave.  The program was established to also defray a portion or all of the development impact fees for development projects.

Both the North and the South Economic Zone incentives are triggered by those developments that are sales-tax-revenue-producing commercial developments encompassing a minimum of 20 acres.

Additionally, Auto Dealership developments qualify for an Economic Zone incentive fee waiver for those dealerships encompassing 8 contiguous acres.
